We’re committed to supporting and investing in our communities to deliver meaningful change.
To make a positive difference, we need to assess the challenges our communities face and identify where the lack of access to opportunities lies. We can then find the right partners to help us deliver real change to those who need it most.
Part 1: Encouraging and enabling colleagues to volunteer
We have a long history of supporting communities through donations, fundraising, pro bono work and volunteering. We want to make it easy for our colleagues to volunteer so we offer paid volunteering days. We’ve put forward two commitments to encourage this spirit of giving.
Commitment 1: Achieve 35,000 hours of volunteering by 2026.
- We’re exploring volunteering opportunities and developing ways to measure volunteering time and impact.
- We plan to get accurate volunteering data, increase take-up of paid volunteering hours, and partner with charities.
- We’ll measure this by the number of volunteering hours completed per year.
Our biennial Day of Giving
Every two years we celebrate our global Day of Giving – a fundraising and volunteering day that gives all 51ÂÒÂ× employees the opportunity to come together to make a difference in our communities.
Part 2: Community investment driven by impact
We want to identify the needs of the most vulnerable so we can work with others to deliver change. Finding the right strategic partner will help us scale our efforts and build meaningful relationships.
Commitment 2: Develop a corporate community investment partnership by 2025.
- We’re investigating long-term partnerships and developing an impactful programme.
- We plan to appoint a key strategic partner and complete a programme with employee support.
- We’ll develop measurable outcomes specific to the programme, including volunteering hours.
